Hello from my couch! I have a lovely summer cold. I completed the assignment up to the point of actually posting a video/voice comment. Since I'm having problems going 10 seconds without coughing my head off, I thought I'd hold off on that one for a day or two (at least until my voice doesn't sound so deep and I can hear out of both ears).
Voicethread is a powerful communication interface. It would be very useful in education and business. I don't know how many times that I've been trying to explain something to someone over the phone and they comment "I could probably help, if I could just see what you're talking about." This would give people that opportunity. I believe the old adage is "Tell me and I forget. Show me, I remember. Involve me and I learn." Through Voicethread, students could do more than merely watch. They could participate and learn.
