Perhaps the most poignant movie line of all time, I was too young to recognize the greatness when I first viewed Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back at a drive-in circa 1980. As I've aged (and re-watched the movie countless times), I've grown to appreciate Yoda's advice. Sometimes it is not good enough to merely try because we are allowing for the possibility of failure. Just do, we must. :)

ReplyDeleteHmm at a Drive Inn in 1980.......I was old enough to listen to Yoda, but I probably wasn't! I should watch that again! In our lab sessions, our students have the opportunity to perform medical laboratory procedures. This term, we've had them testing their own samples. I think they are learning more by "doing."

ReplyDeleteVery nice advice. This movie was a great one. It is really funny to watch old movies and get the point that was made. A point we would have never gotten at a younger age.
