What is the academic concept students will be
involved in as they play the game?
Since my degree is Business Ed, I would like to make a game that has to do with budgeting or personal finance.
What is the story line?
I've been thinking about this. I may make a story about financing a car and how much it actually costs. I'll have to figure out if Scratch can do the math. If I can't, I'll probably do a monthly budget game. For example, you may $500 a month, then you have to make decisions about what you spend it on during the month.
Who is the main character?
My main character will be a young adult.
What does the main character do to win the
game?
In order to win the game (in the first scenario), you'll have to pick the car that will cost the least in the long run. In the second scenario, you'll have to finish the month with money left in your budget.
What challenges will the main character face to move up a level?
The main character will be given different choices that they have to make decisions in order to move forward.
Here is a grocery budget game:
Great idea for a game! High school kids love anything that has to do with buying a car!
